Abstract:

The changes of groove area of friction disc and the lubricating oil temperature can affect the contact status of friction pair, which has a significant impact on the friction?wear properties of the clutch. A micro-contact numerical model of asperity summits is proposed to investigate the influence of lubricating oil temperature on the local contact pressure and contact area of the friction pair. Meanwhile, the clutch bench test is conducted to reveal the influence of the groove area of the friction disc on the clutch friction?wear properties under different lubricating oil temperatures. The results show that the increase of lubricating oil temperature leads to the rise of the local contact area and the maximum contact pressure. With the increase of the lubricating oil temperature, the differences of the friction torque and friction coefficient are more and more significant under different groove area conditions. With the increase of the groove area, the wear of friction disc becomes more serious and the carbon black absorbed is reduced.
