Abstract:

In view of that the component level fatigue bench test of rear sub-frame for five links rear suspension can't be conducted due to the interference between hydraulic actuators and hard to arrange, a fatigue test method based on stress tensor analysis is proposed. According to the stress state of potential dangerous points, the key load channels are identified, and the simple and implementable block spectra loads are defined respectively for two potential dangerous points. In the test scheme devised, the principal stress directions of dangerous points remain basically unchanged, their damage is close to that with original road spectra, and the conclusion of the test is consistent with that of suspension system test, with the cost of test and development risk reduced.
